Technical Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

I've been a long time member here, 1st post asking a question or looking for opinions. I have a 36 Plymouth coupe...period correct Gasser project. Engine is a small journal 327 (forged crank). Gonna be 600+ hp, blown with a 6/71. If the east side gasser association ever makes a "gs" class, I'm in! My question is this...I have a 1961/62 T10-1C 4 spd aluminum case trans. Can it be "built" to handle "wheels up" launches or should I look for another trans? Doug Nash? Etc...???

Long thin red line up there ^^^^^^^ at the top . Just under that on the right click on thread tools and then on edit title. Then your back in business. This is your own thread to edit.

Will a super T10 survive behind a 700hp supercharged motor doing wheelstands in a drag car on slicks? Sell the trans now while it's in one piece before it's destroyed and buy something better suited to your needs.

At one time you could buy a kit from Sears and Roebuck (and probably other sources) to convert a Model T or Model A Ford into a tractor.
