out of respect to the family and the family members here who lost family; i would advise and politely ask you to remove the tahoe's photo from this thread. After all; it isn't HAMB friendly.

oh yea...no one was saying it was the truck driver's fault...it's obviously the fauly of the kid who spun them. in the end; innocent people lost their lives.

I'm always a bit surprised by how many cars that are stored like this have windows that are open.

  7. Maybe not exactly sitting and rotting, but they are sitting and for sale. At least 4 Starliners in Decatur Alabama.

Yes, I saved it. I took the fence down rather than the tree!

I'll have to post some more pics of my family cars that were sitting behind my grandma's for decades. Some still have parts of trees grown up through bumper or trunk. Does anyone have a car they drive with part of a tree grown through it still?

Corvairs and some others are slated to be sent to scrap yard soon due to space constraints.

You should get in touch with the Corvair clubs so they can save those cars.

  17. Agreed, the Corvairs are too good to scrap. Not that I would want one, but there really are people who restore Corvairs. If I were closer, I'd like to get my hands on the F-1 pickup and/or the '61 Chevy more-door.

  18. At least pull the steering boxes/shafts and bucket seats out of the Corvairs before you crush them.

  19. Ill shoot you my address so you can send me that back window and sheet metal so I can convert mine ... thanks! :D

  24. Why hasn't anyone adapted the tailgate from one of these, to a '58 Ranchero so it's not the same as a '57?

  27. In the mid 60s, me and a buddy used to ride on the trunk of a 61 Bel Air 4dr with a stack of Sunday Morning Newspapers between us. His dad would drive us around and we'd roll up the newspapers and throw them on the porches while cruising slowly down the street. Man, that is a nice, wide FLAT trunk.
