When I was looking for a car I went and checked this one out, thought it might be a "barn find".

First, we had had to move a pile of crap just to get the garage door open. Once open you could barely get inside to look at the car. The hood was sitting on the roof and the motor was sitting in front of the car.

I asked him what the deal was with the motor. He said his motor went bad, he bought a used one, installed it and it was no good. He then got discouraged with it and hadn't done anything since. That was when he was in his early 20's, they guy was his mid to late 50's now.

I have it in a building out of the weather now unless I can find out more history on it and with the price of old cars down I will just go over and look at it every now and then and dream of what it once was. Check out my build thread on my willys gasser here's the link

Here are a few photos from an old farm just down the road from me. These cars have been sitting there for years but rumor is the owner might be finally willing to sell.

You guys are killin me with this thread!! :(

  9. Unfortunately you're one of the habitual offenders (your recent post quoted the entire photo span to comment only about the Model A). You can't guarantee that a quoted message will be on the same page, so it's better to delete the other photos in your quote.

    Please!

  10. @Tater134--looks like every one of those cars and trucks was driven to where it's sitting.

Here's 3 more from various locations. The Chevy truck in the first photo was recently hauled from the location in the photo to another property with a bunch of old wreckers and flatbeds.

I was only referring to on the same page quotes, that's why I said on the same page, and my quote you mention does not repeat the entire span, just the model A (I double checked to be sure because weird shit happens here sometimes)

What I find annoying is when someone deletes the photos then asks about something in the photo, then you have to go back and forth to find it, or even worse they quote a post number and you have to search for it only to discover it's not the post they mean because other posts have been deleted in the mean time thus changing the post numbers that came after.

My internet is absolutely terrible, it takes up to an hour to upload a photo in full resolution for me, and when a photo is re-quoted, even a few pages down the line it doesn't even affect me, so what does it matter to the rest of you with high speed connections?

Basically there is no winning because we are all different people with different connections and different preferences in how this is done, and we can't all be pleased.

I just threw this together for a guy out of nothing but unwanted parts that were going to scrap, he's going to use it as lawn art apparently.

    .
Well, it doesn't really matter all that much. But it is annoying to have to scroll through the same photos that are so long only two or three posts will fit on a page. I don't have high speed and it does slow mine down. I don't see how yours could load the quoted photos without slowing it down. But then I know next to nothing about the internet.

I think it has something to do with the memory casche loading what it knows is supposed to be there or something, a techie friend told me something once about that.

There is almost no reason to quote somebodies picture post. 99% of the time we know what your talking about. If you do it delete the pictures. Very annoying to have to scroll through the same pictures 13 times.

No but it will make you famous, and you don't even have to know how to work on your car.

Post one at a time and people bitch, post a bunch at once and they bitch, post them too large and they bitch, scale them down and they bitch, quote them they bitch, don't quote them they bitch... instead of bitching we all should just deal with it I suppose.

Now lets all shut the hell up and post photos like good boys and girls.;)

My buddy picked up this old caravan camper recently, it appears to be a Chevrolet 490 chassis underneath it. He's already started restoring it.
