Art & Inspiration Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

This might take a while.

 

Heres one i have been after for some time. Hard to sleep at night knowing its out there. Owner won't budge.

 

backed it out of the barn 30 years ago, here it sits

 

From a recent auction in Fl,so at least they're not sitting and rotting any longer...

 

Come Spring, when the ground dries out, I'm going back for this. Good steering box, front shock mounts, engine turns and the hogs head bellhousing is worth something.

 

Its a '48 Chrysler Windsor Ambulance /Hearse combo and according to the owner's family they have done research and this is the only one the manufacturer built. It is sitting rotting in Oklahoma under a tree with some other cars. Can you say "NEEDS A HEMI"?

 

Another of those "I should do something with it this year" projects.

 

I'd give that buick a good home!

 

Here are a few near me.

 

Man that old ford in bodie has been there a long time. I took a family trip up there about ten yrs ago. Wanted it so bad. Freakin awesome it's still there. Has to be sitting for at least 20 yrs my old man remembers it when he first went up there. Sucks it's just rotting away. Isn't it owned by the gov now.

 

This one probably should have been left to rot away.
