Funny thing is that this car was offered a few times on this site, and three people offered any interest at all. There is a lot of talk on here about "I'd buy that in a heartbeat" or "The owner says he's going to fix it someday, and won't sell it...I'd buy it right now." I wonder how many of those "not for sale" cars are sitting because the owner got tired of people saying that they would buy it, but never showed up with the money? I don't have the room to push a car into the yard and leave it sit until the cows come home.
Torkwrench stepped up and got one hell of a deal.

Confession time. I had a '62 Studebaker Champ pickup that I advertised as free to a good home. I actually had people tell me how much it would be worth restored and then wouldn't take it.

I found that it was worth $65 at the crusher.

  3. 26 T Ford RPU, you found more vintage tin on a trip here than most people do who have lived here all their lives.

That's what I was thinking. I wonder how many guys live near those cars/trucks and may not even know that they are there?

A few from a junkyard where you had to jump from car roof to car roof to get around, thats Eddie giving me the Grand Tour. Dunno how many cars were there, over a hundred easily. Have to have a helicopter & logging crew to get one out. I didn't take many pics, between the snakes, poison Ivy and wasps my selfpreservation was in overdrive and didn't get any 'artsy' oppertunities. Yep, that's what I was thinking, but my fingers were thinking something else. My oldest brother had a 49 convertible back in the early 60's. I thought it was one of his cooler cars.

Thanks, Phil. Yes, it was a heck of a deal. One that I just couldn't turn down. Here are a few current photos from when it was picked up, Sunday afternoon. Also, got a line on both a 302 GMC, and a Pontiac OHC six engine for it.

THAT could explain the previous, "That's an Arizona plate" comment.
    Could be why.

What year did a 4 door Airflow have a trunk that wasn't a "hump back"? I know 2 doors did, but didn't think 4 doors did? Or is the rear of that car just really bent in?
