The 26 dump truck? That belongs to my buddy, but feel free to talk because nothing is ever set in stone!

It can get annoying when lot of people do that, I've done it, I wont lie!

    Awesome thread, great pictures!

Speaking of "sitting and rotting" - just outside of Roswell, New Mexico there was a huge salvage yard with a lot of good stuff in it. I was there in 1995 and 98. What is the status of this place now days?

Only good for parts? I doubt it. That rear window doesn't scare this Mopar man. Looks like it just needs a rear deck filler panel and a set of quarter panels, just like every other Mopar that I have.

  5. Were there any "saucer" shaped cars there??:D

Better be careful snooping around the countryside near Roswell. My ex was born there and she never was quite right.

Just found this thread. The 55 Olds 88 sedan I'm building has one of those decals in each rear side window. Much more faded though.

    How cool!

I wish I had photos of it, but I guy I knew in the 90's was at his buddies farm and he tripped in the long grass, he went to investigate and discovered a chrome bumper sticking out of the ground, and it was solid and immobile, so they grabbed a small back hoe and started digging, and found a complete 59 Chrysler 2 door hard-top! After some research he found out that the previous land owners son had gotten really pissed off at his dad, and dug a hole and pushed his dads brand new Chrysler in and buried it, so the car had bulldozer marks on the back, and the roof skin and the door skins were oil-canned in, but the car was preserved, I heard they even got it running!

Sometimes the dirt will preserve things up here.

I wonder what that Ute looking Cadillac behind it was. Maybe some kind of funeral car?

It's a flower car, a kind of support vehicle for the hearse.

It's funny, every time there is a shot of one that exact same question comes up, word for word! :D

Looks like that flower car started out as a 4 door sedan. The rear door is too short and don't go all the way to the front door. Looks good overall.

Roswell reopened about a year ago after being closed for years. See post #1796 for a current pic. Here are a few taken last year:
