When I was in Cali I saw some 50's French cars either restored or in need of it, I'm talking about Citroën, Renault, Peugeot, Simca, Panhard not the unaffordable kind of brands, although I came accross a Facel.
I guess gas will always be too expensive for some people. But what I'm wondering is without a dealership web how hard it must have been for those who chose to go with French car manufacturer to keep their car road worthy. I guess it must have suited their driving style, because French cars of the era are rather slow and not torquey at all.
On the corner of I believe Branden and Glendale Blvd in the early/mid 2000's there was a small mechanic shop with some weird opening hours and no sign where there was only French cars, I saw a Peugeot 302 or 402 with a Paris license plate there, I never stopped to see what this place was about though.

I know it will probably rot but I don’t think I could bring myself to cut that top.

Love how those 'old trucks' always seem to have a "droopy-door-handle" !

  13. Ya know, with a little time and a lot of effort you could make something of that Edsel. ( custom that is, real boulevard cruiser)

@chryslerfan55 is right about that Edsel 'vert. Looks to be complete. Plus, as a custom, you could lose the toilet seat grill.
