  1. There's a '60 Merc like the one Maverick Daddy posted at Yarbrough Auto Parts near Aragon GA.

In the mid 2000’s I found this roadster body sitting beside a walking track, behind a row of houses in a Town called Cooma just over a hundred miles from home.

It was too big to fit in my car, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me. The next time I drove up there I had my angle grinder and lead. I convinced one of the residents to run it down to his back yard and I cut it into three, loaded it in and proceeded to drive over to the old town rubbish tip. While there I picked a roadster deck lid and loaded it in. To this day I have no idea what the roadster was but I still ended up selling it for a grand as they were getting scarce even back then.

Here’s another one from the same town a couple of years later, this one was found right in the middle of town up on a hill. It’s a 1934 Oldsmobile Sedan, this one has an Australian body by a Company called Holden. D69E7D40-29AA-4D36-9940-F73171658DEC.jpeg

In order to retrieve it I needed permission from the Town munincipality. With that given I contacted a local Rodder in my hometown who had his own shop and salvage business. He was able to collect it for me. Sadly I was unable to sell this one, so I ended up giving it to a fellow rodder for the cost of recovery. He is now using the body for a 34 Chev pickup he is constructing. If you look closely you will notice the front doors are longer than the rears, making it ideal for a pickup conversion.

  14. That's not a Bug Eye Sprite. Triumph TR2. TR2 had the small grille opening, TR3 had a big grille opening.
