Not so much sitting and sitting, think this one still gets occasional use. But see how the shoot goes through the cab? Bit different for sure

Block & tackle to remove the rock for an engine, then carry to the closest track. Still in negotiations....

In the early 70's I was in the Air Force and stationed at Travis in northern California. I found a 40 pickup to use as a daily driver, but that didn't stop my thirst for scrounging. I found a guy north of town with the same attitude. We became friends and just down the country lane from him sat a 31 Chevy pickup in almost pristine condition, sitting right in front of a very old and large Oak tree. I asked my friend if he knew the owner and if the truck was for sale. He told me that the truck had sat in that exact spot forever. The guy decided to give it to his sons, except he had daughters, then he decided to save it for his grandsons, but only had granddaughters. People were always stopping by wanting to buy the truck, but the owner never budged. Finally in 1973, while I around. A very heavy wind storm came up and ended everything by blowing the tree down and crushing what could have been a very useful truck for any one of all those people that were turned down while trying to buy it, a very long and sad story.

He could have given it for one of his daughters or grand daughters too...
