Hi Ron....didn't know you were on here. I talked to Tom today and he said you had a lot of pics.....where can I see them? Randy
I like the quick disconnect Hansen fitting on the thermostat outlet of the Gremlin. It probably made forced cooling between rounds easy.
Man, what a difference 40 years makes. It would have been nice, to have some of this new stuff back then.
STOP IT!!! You are making me want to build a Ford 300 six powered digger. And I'm not a race car kind of guy. I like cars I can drive on any road.
I saw this car run when Gulf Coast Inliners met at Jim Jard's warehouse shop one day. Cory fired it up and ran it up and down the street a few times in anger. Sounded simply awesome.
Seeing this pic made my night. Friend of mines car. I have a large collection of our local race cars from the 50's thru the 70's and a pic of this car has alluded me. Haven't talked to him in awhile, at one point he suggested that he might put it back together.
metalman: Do you have any info on the car like ET, and Horsepower??? In your collection of local race cars, are there some INLINERS ???
No I don't but I ask the next time I talk to the owner. Inliners were never real popular here but we had a few, I'll dig up some pics. I found out about one tonight I'll definatally get info/ pics on. I came across pictures of a Anglia gasser that I had built into a street rod back in the 80's for a customer, at the time it was just a body/frame but still had this unique orange/white paint job (I remember stripping it off). Found out who raced it and was able to talk to him tonight. Turns out it ran a 292 Chevy 6 and was a NHRA record houlder in G/Gas for a couple years.
