We are in the process of recreating the Kennedy/Scroggs T-33 Roadster. Anybody have a line on a Wayne 12 port Chevy?
You might be able to get the loan of one or trade a partnership in the car for one. There are some old Inliner guys that have them setting around. What engine will you run?
I have a 55 235 in the car now, it will work for the time being. But a real Wayne Chevy would be a dream come true!
Barn Find T, have you checked over at Inliners.org? They have a for sale section or you might try posting on the message board also.
You have probably looked into this, but at the risk of repetition here goes. In the mid 60's (65-69 I believe) GM produced a switch pitch trans in the 400 turbo series. The give away is where the wire terminal for the kick down switch is there are two terminals instead of one. One for the kick down and one for the stall change. The kick down was easily connected to a switch on the brake pedal. So at the stop sign you had the high stall speed so the car wouldn't creep, then at brake release it dropped to the lower stall. Great for doing you know what at take off. Buy cheap tires. I have one on a 430 Buick. High stall is 2300 and low is 8 or900. With some jockeying with different torque convertors a high 2000 to low 3000 can be had. Just tap it in on the net and a bunch of info pops up. All the best with your Beast. Dick
I saw a car at a guys shop sometime around 1974. The shop was in Cecil Co. Md. A Henry J powered by an injected 300 Ford and 4-spd. The car was called Super Six. I think it was green. And I think I remember the guys name was Murray Steele. Haven't heard about him or the car since. Tried to find the shop again but couldn't. The guy that took me there passed away. Anyone know?
