I am wondering if anyone knows what happened to Skip Hudson's '29 Roadster which appeared on the first color cover of Hot Rod - April 1951[although no info inside]. Dan Gurney participated in his first sanctioned racing event with this car when he was timed at 130.43 at Bonneville August 24, 1950.

  2. Somewhere, I have an annual type rod mag with the '34 inside the cover. I's like to see a feature on either car to see what they used for hood latches. I have a thread looking for these. Tim

A friend told me yesterday lunchbox latches were often used for hood latches. Try picturing an old-style workman's lunch box

According to September 2015 issue of Hot Rod Deluxe the '29 was built by Ray Torres who ran it at El Mirage and then traded Skip Hudson for a '32 roadster.
