skirts for the shoes....

i have seen some pictures of a 55 special with i guess its called a skirt , over the back wheels, i am assuming that kind of stuff if fabricated? or can you actually purchase this?

 

Some were normal equipment and some folks fabricate theirs. I believe the 55 special had/could have skirts. Ebay search it...they're there everytime I look for parts.

 

They used to be after market items.In 1956, my cousin had a '55 Super 2 door hardtop with aftermarket skirts ,dual Appletons and a continental kit. He was a greaser and had every gimmick going.I was 11 at the time and really dug that car.....
