  10. Gomes,
Good work here, great looking ride. Looks like it coming along nicely. Maybe its own thread to cover the build? Not to hi-jack your great build thread Skoty.
    Keep the updates flowing.

    Thanks Again

    The car is sick man.
What do you use for beveling? that is super perfect.
The sail panels are perfect too. i wonder if you will ever do classes.
I might think about buying a plane ticket if you did.

    Youre a dick.
This is exactley what everybody wants to see when on here.

Thanks you buddy, for bevelling i use a standard electric grinder with a 36 grit hard stone on it and i bevell the piece a little bit more then the thickness of the piece your welding. This helps your weld get in deep and flow nicely but if your not carefull you can put to much heat into a piece. Small bevells are perfectly fine as long as your heat and penetration is there. This is only my opinion not fact, i found that when i went with a small bevell my welds sat on top more. I like uniform and very consistant welds. With the sail panels its like everything else, keep tryin to its right. Fortunetly these panels came out great first try. I was expecting to throw away a few panels before i got it right. Now its not only in the making of the panel, its also how the panel is put in and making sure when welding you keep the panel from falling in or voiding. Weld some then finish it and move on and keep going back to ensure your not loosin it as your going. I dont think im good enough or knowledable enough to teach classes. If your really interested in classes id say take the lasse class. This is a class i really wanna take. Lasse and his tools are premium and those guys really know there way around metal.

Here are a few more shots of the Rivi grille/headlight relocation. We designed, CAD rendered, and TIG welded this one, all in-house. The parts were water-jet cut. I think we even impressed ourselves with the results.:D

    Skoty those welds look killer!

Thanks for building your 35 plymouth, that car is just too much. I really enjoyed seeing it up in ventura and then again at the Grand Nationals and now on the hamb. Everything is so right on that thing!

Great thread, really good to see people doing what they are meant to be doing.
