Roy(with the Flathead Sickness) I'm gonna finish out this season at Day of the Drags....then this winter, am going to change over to the "new" manifold.....to see if I can "go faster"(see, you are "contributing" to my sickness.....hahaha)....I'll keep you posted via the individual emails ....I'm out there today, taking off a couple more pounds by removing the "starting fuel tank and pump and plumbing"....I always have to have help to run this thing, so "self starting" isn't a big deal anymore
Think I will wear my "Flathead Fever " T-shirt and get a autograph this weekend at DOTDs ! suppose to be a high in the 80's. as you say....yoooHooo

What a great event The quickest time was 9.56 seconds and the fastest run was 139.9 mph....the trans was "taking a dump" and was slipping really bad....oh yea, funny smelling smoke" coming from it.....sooo, not too bad for one of those obsolete Flathead thingies.....already have the engine, transmission out of it, blower off and starting to fit the new intake that I got from "Flat Roy"....no time to spare....gotta get ready for the Texas Thaw...whooo hoooo, this is a "crazy sickness"

I don't what it costs to get a flathead into the 9's, but it sounded like a million bucks! I never heard a flathead like that one. And to see the digger pulling the chute at the big end was just awesome. Thanks again, Scotz

Made a few p***es in the 9's....best was fri nite, the 9.56....it is a C4 with completely burned up clutch plates in it, nowit is kind of amazing, because we just built it to "make a Flathead get into the 12's".....it was actually slipping for the past 5 runs, and now really bad slipping.....already have pulled the engine, trans out, gonna figure what to "fix" so I can see if I can go a bit faster.....hahaha.....like I have been known to say....it is a sickness It is a fairly stock trans, with a whiz bang hi stall converter....73 p***es before it gave up the ghost
