  2. Don't sweat it. :D

I think all of us have had at least one bad encounter.

I had an engine once that treated me real bad and it nearly left me homeless. LOL

Dizzy would be no problem at all you just use two lobes and loose the rest and a pair of Harley coils. All the older Harleys fired both cylinders all the time. One cylinder was on exhaust so it didn't matter (or doesn't if you still motor on an old bike). So two Harley coils, use your distributer to excite the coils and your plug wires run from the coil to the sparkplug, like a late model.

If you build the mill I'll build your ignition for ya. ;)

Those would actually be cone heads. I think they are from France. :D

The crank pictured was the 4 cylinder Pontiac 196 and I can get better pictures of it if you'd like.

It's pretty much a standard 4 cylinder crank except the front part of the front counterweight is full round.
I believe my father built one of these slant 4's for a guy that used it in a rear engine dragster, and they ended up utilizing a V8 crank with rod spacers and a longer stroke for more cubes. I think some heavy metal had to be added to the v8 crank to get it to balance without the other 4 rods and pistons. They also used a V8 camshaft because of the 90 degree offset on the crank throws. The firing order is a bit weird too.
I kind of want to do this engine up with a V8 stroker crank and then drop it into something like a 23T. I'd have to go the full roller cam setup though.
