AI says these cars have a slave cylinder. I believe its full of bs. I have one on my rod and was watching a video on bleeding the clutch system and it said to block off the slave with a clamp. I was wondering if thats to get the air out of the master.
So the point of this post is to say that AI is not correct? Hate to break it to you, but, yeah. https://www.ecosia.org/search?method=index&q=AI+is+wrong
Ai probably 60% wrong .., Yes & No on clamp on hose to a certain Extent , air will rise if cap left off , 50/50 that all air will escape. Some time's it like changing a brake line Gravity letting brake fluid drip from Higher up from reservoir with top off, & other line still full of fluid To top of fitting . You can attach fitting there will be no air. Self bleed @ connection. If all new crack bleeder , let gravity feed Then bleed like a brake master cylinder. I have heard of Z bar , I call it clutch Fork & rod or cable
....does the clevis pin need a cotter key to start the car.... ....do windows wind a different direction in Australia.... ....why do they call them shock absorbers....they didn't work when I grabbed spark plug wire......
then why did you mention ai? sheesh. Just ask the question you want the answer to. Yes, that was probably to bleed the master cylinder.
Do not know witch style you have I would say when you push clutch peddle down the Save extend , if so Crack bleeder then use a C clamp or wide jaw Vice grips , to collapse rod , Or unbolt push back with fingers , So no air pocket on piston , completely collapsed With bleeder open should gravity bleed. You can do same bleed method on disc calipers by completely compressing the piston up into the caliper, then just let gravity bleed, wants done pump black slow Top off Master cylinder. Wheel cylinder also.
