COE Sliding rear window or not?

    What you guys think of the sliding rear window kit Bob Drake sells for the 38-47 Ford COE cab?

    IF BOB SELLS IT, ITS QUALITY YOU CAN TRUST..

    HE HAS A 1946 COE, PROBABLY NEEDED IT IN HIS, HENCE OTHERS WOULD ALSO.

    He is ALWAYS thinkin' of NEW products......

    I was going to fit one in mine as the rear window had been cut out by the Telegraph erection company, I also had a periscope in the roof above the drivers seat.
    This was taken off to get it in the container, and I didn't want it anyway .

    The rear window I managed to get from one of our fellow COE, man Bob... b-bop. , and thanks to him I have an original 41 window replacement.
    However, I really like the look of the Bob Drake product and I think they would go nice in to the cab, and if Bob b-bop, hadn't have been around I would definitely have fitted a Bob Drake unit I think they are :cool:
     
  4. I've had several small pick-ups with a slider rear window, never found them real useful. Maybe with swing out windshields they would get a good breeze flowing through the cab. (maybe eye lid fluttering good)

    I put a generic RV slider in mine over the winter... I like it but cannot reach it from the front seat.
