History slight OT/history of Oxy-Acetylene torching and welding

    Okay guys, I'm looking for information, I've tried google and searched tons here found plenty of facts. I need to find the history of oxy-acetylene welding, like neat facts (IE WWII U boats had Oxygen tanks that were demilitarized and sold as oxygen tanks for welding cutting, iirc) also looking for pictures of them being used on hot rods for miscellanious purposes. Thanks!

    there's a chopped/channeled truck in the midwest that I saw at the hunnert that ran 2 Oxy tanks back of the cab, it looked like they were used as fuel tanks, not totally sure, I thought I had a photo, couldn't find it tho. Probably someone knows this truck here. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
