Man, I would totally drive that '77 Ford... that thing is awesome.

I had a triple black '77 Lincoln Continental I kick myself for getting rid of. I've yet to see another one.... rode awesome, was lowered a little and I shaved most of the side trim.

Man, I bet that kart is a hoot to drive.

  3. Thanks I drive her everyday, it gets alot of looks. I'd like to lift it and put a set of Cragars on it, shave a few things and frenched antenna. Candy rootbeer over gold metalflake sounds good to me for the roof.

Yeah! I was gonna say it needed a round of 14x7 reverse Cragars.... that would be awesome. I'd love to find a clean two-door Lincoln mark IV or whatever Continental with the bump in the trunk and the side gills and do it up...

  5. I had a 67 SS Chevelle back in the late 80's. I drove it all through high school and a few years after. I sold it in 95 to fund my 57 pro street pick-up. I regretted selling it ever since. With my wife giving me the nod to sell our 61 wagon, I'm now building another 67 SS Chevelle. This one I'm building will be more like the stuff you would see at the track or the street races in the late 60's to early 70's. Most of the parts are of a "day2" vintage. The wheels in the pic are just rollers off of the 38, as I have early Cragars with redline bias tires for it.

    Hey X-Gasser,

what's the "day2" vintage mean? It's not ringing a bell.

    from Hi

I'm a big VW guy and I discuss them on other forums designed for them and same for my Motorcycle. I have a a '56 GMC with a caddy motor and that's what brings me here. It's not being a snob towards other rides just don't use the wrong forum for it.

  8. modified with the speed parts only available when the car was new or a couple of years old...

  9. Squirrel, my great aunt had a 69 rs/ss with a six, disc brakes,p/w,air cond, folding rear seat. She wondered why every time she went for gas, people asked if it was for sale. She sold it in 1990 @ 32,000mi for $1500,she said it was just an old chevy.Rare & always in a heated garage.:( I think why people would like a forum like the HAMB for the later stuff,is because the HAMB has spoiled them for anything else, because it set the standard of excellance so high.Muscle Car Journal?

  10. I don't have a long list like some of you guys, but other than our '50 Plymouth, my daily driver for the last 8 years has been a '68 Mustang coupe. My fiancee has a '65 Dodge Dart GT and a 2005 Ford Explorer for her daily.

Have you tried Performance Years, or Pontiac Zone? They are a bunch of Pontiac guys that will welcome you. I post there under the same name as I have a 66' Lemans convertible.

Dear newbie guy who is taking the road many newbies take and trying to be a stand-up thread cop...
The HAMB was here before you and will prolly be here next summer after you jump off of the band wagon. You saw the OT and the word musclecar in the title.... simply don't click.

That being said, X-gasser, nice car!

Hey, I feel you. I think it's dumb too.

What's kind of funny is that the same guys who cry and stomp their feet over musclecar threads being off topic-post will post COMPLETELY off-topic shit like "hey, look at my new tattoo", "my favorite country singer just died", "my favorite bar just closed down", etc, etc, and then when you call them on it they will give you some feeble, hair-brained explanation of why their new tattoo, dead country star, or closed down bar has way more to do with hot-rodding than an actual fast car. Brilliant huh?
