Small Alternator?

    like said before go to ebay type in "mini alternator" get a ton of good 1wire alts for about $85

    but ....I like the alternator and will look for something similar. Are they all 60amp?

    samurai alternators are about 32 amps. we replace them with 62 amp or 100 amp gm alternators to run off road lights or a winch.

    I've used a couple of the small ND alternators, but never in anything that had a lot of electrical demands. That John Deere alternator looks pretty neat. My Kubota Diesel has the alternator built right into the fan pulley. Permanent magnets on the fan and a stator coil behind it. Or you could always go to:

    the structure and operation maybe the same but the 50 amp is a sidekick/tracker alt. it has a flat belt pulley the samurai has a v belt pulley and they don't interchange.

    i need some help here on wiring this alternator, not stealing your thread, the diagram i have says run 1 wire from alt. post to starter bat. hot post the pin for a light, the other pin switched, idid this and now my car will not cut off with the kill switch on the back of the car..... im a dumb *** when it comes to wiring if its supposed to be a 1 wire where do i terminate it? at the bat. or starter, please help i dont want to set my car on fire or burn up something and ive got to take it to a sheet metal guy today..... thanks hamb again

    what i meant was get a low mounting bracket like pics above and you can run a real alt. not some taiwan ted junk that will actually charge your battery at least 60 amps with low mount bracket a larger alt. will be less noticeable

    The small permanent magnet alternators from Kubota are usally 20 amps or less.

    East Coast Electronics makes them, sell them at Jegs and Summit, they are 50 amp IIRC

    Mu two are about 5-5/8" bolt hole centers and 6-3/8" bolt hole centers.

    Nippon Denso Type Forty five (45) amps. Running one for five years on my CNC Brackets.

    would be awesome if RACEMATE done a dual alternator/waterpump to suit the pumps on a flathead (one for each side), would make them look pretty neat up front!
