Greetings Guys, Working on my project and hope to use a small piece of 18 gauge sheet metal as a dash insert for newer gauges and would like to find some rubber trim to seat along the edge. More for a finished look, once I paint the piece and slide it into place. Any*******mendations for a source? Thanks!

  2. You can use a rubber /plastic tube slit length wise and press it onto and along the edge of the sheet metal....
Could also use brake/gas line if you had a way to make the straight length wise cut???

Small vacum hose that you would use on a 57 chevy distributor . Get it at NAPA Don in Indiana

most of the early car places sell fender welt - not sure if it's small enough for what you want.

  8. McMaster-Carr, search for 'rubber edge trim'..... lots of choices.

Use black or chrome door edge guard found your local parts store. The plastic chrome doesn't like tight bends.

  11. You can help it go around reasonably tight bends with a heat gun.

Yup, this is it! Have ordered rubber for fender skirts, connie kits, tail light housings, and many other uses, they have a big selection of shapes and sizes.

I have used vacuum hose in the past & is available in a variety of sizes and easy to cut with a single edge razor blade. HRP
