So, I have an Offy adapter between a 39 Ford toploader and a 327 Chevy. The car had a later style starter (bolts to block from the bottom) and is not catching enough of the flywheel.. I am looking for an early style (3 bolt to bellhousing) style MINI starter and can't seem to come up with anything on the web search. Anyone have a suggestion for a quality mini that will bolt up to my application?

Is there some reason you can't use a big starter on it? They're cheap, they fit, they work, and you can buy them at the local parts store. They are heavy, and sometimes get in the way of exhaust pipes.

I use Powermaster on my builds, mainly for extra room. Their tech department can take a little information and get you what you need. On my SBC's i use their mini starters with the nose on the flywheel end.........cause I just like the extra support on the shaft when engaging the flywheel................for what it's worth.............

I think Mercruiser used the bell housing mount mini. May have to search under boat….

lots of the ones that bolt to the block, and several two bolt that look like they'd fit a Volvo...
