does anyone know if there is or was an adapter to put a small block chevy into my 57 stude ******? looking to either beef up my 259 or put a small block into it. the motor runs great, but doesn't have the power I need to pull my camper. the only reason I'm thinking about keeping the ****** is because its got a killer overdrive in it and I get a consistend 20 mpg. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Why not use a G M 200-4-R behind the small block and be done? Way cheeper and better all the way around? The Wizzard
I recall that the Studes used a B-W trans (T98?), and the Ford or Jeep used same, so perhaps an adaptor from sbc stick to Borg-Warner trans would work.
