Has anyone built a 302 based engine using Edelbrock Victor Jr cylinder heads?

I came upon a set of heads that were too good of a deal to pass up. I can either build an engine around these heads or pass these on and maybe make a few bucks profit.

    Edelbrock Victor Jr 77169
    60cc chamber, 201cc intake runner, 2.05/1.60 valves.

I have several 302 powered cars so if I use these I’d like to stick with a 302 block, probably stroked to 347. Looking for a somewhat streetable engine.

My experience with ford engines is on mostly stock bottom ends and all my friends run Chevy engines.

if you’ve built an engine with these heads please share the combination and results.

Those heads are more at home on a big bore engine, 2.05" valve oof... screamer engines. You can make them work on a modified 302 28oz or 0oz 302.
Dont slap them on a stock block 50oz imbalace 5.0 and expect it to last.

I had plans to build a 331 with a stock 302 block and AFR heads. I currently have two cars with 302’s so that would be a bolt in and I could keep all the front dress, headers etc.

These Victor Jr heads were too good a deal to pass up so now I’m tempted to build a 408 Windsor for something.

2.05/1.60 valved heads 'will work' on a 331/347 SBF BUT......you need to gear accordingly.
(Think like all 'these guyz' with their 327 SB Shivel-laz they just LOVE to hear that baby
    " whine-in-the-upstairs-of-RPM-ville"! )
Think in the 6000+ RPM range ! Like a BOSS 302... (minimum)
4.11:1 gear MINIMUM . 4.30:1 on the street with a re-done T-5 so you can actually afford the hi-test fuel it's gonna need ! (using the OD 5th gear)
Make sure the rods are premo units as well as the roller valve train. Think light-weight everything in the valve-train.
Single-plane intake with 750 cfm Eddy carb. (cause I like 'em...that's why!)
4-tube full-length headers or better yet the 'bundle-of-snakes 360* headers...
    See where I'm going here?
IF you wanna "hear-that-baby-sing-on-the-top-end" it's gonna be expensive 'singing-lessons' !!
    Post us a video !!!!

If I build this engine it will likely be in my factory five cobra screaming through the Sidepipes on the road course and drag strip.
