Just picked up a fresh 327 short block-forged pistons, std crank! all balanced etc. 030 over. Had it checked out by a pro before son in law brought to me. Deck code F---S-says 62 327PG date code I271--870 block--Sept/Oct 61? Earliest 327 I have had in a while. Dandy for next project! Got other stuff along with it I have no use for but will get rid of it. High dollar roller rockers, HEI, dampner etc etc 327's my favorite!

Oh man, a 331 with a 0 deck flat tops pistons is one happy engine with the proper cam, heads and induction.

  8. You lucky duck!! Let’s see, a big solid cam, nice open plenum high rise (Edelbrock Torker, Tarantula, Wieand X-Celerator, etc), a nice Holley, Muncie 4 speed, and some 4.11s or 4.56s, and Hedders!! A 64 or 65 Malibu would be my choice.

Let me know what kind of rockers they are. Thinking of running some in my kids engine.

This is kinda' like you described, only with 2 AFB's instead of a Holley, and it's in a '56 Chevy instead of a '65 Chevelle... But it's stealthy, not poking through the hood. ;):D

  15. I have one in my garage that belongs to my brother. A real 327/365 with a forged crank.
