Played hookie from work today and tore into the rust on my '53 wagon. Here's what it looked like before:

All of that was covered up by riveted aluminum and bondo. I got some panels from a four door that was being junked (thanks desertratrodder!) and commenced to fixing the problem. I had the replacement pieces blasted last week and they were perfect. There was more rust than I thought, I ended up having to replace the brace under there too. I still have a ways to go and still have to do the floor pans, but at least I'm making progress.

Eric, I can tell you one thing, it was a hell of a lot harder than work. I looked at the thing for about an hour trying to figure out how to cut it up so I could get at everything and make it easy to put back together. The door shuts, so I guess I must have done something right.

  4. The only reason I go to work is to get some rest!:D
