Most times I've seen it done..the fire wall has to be cut...d32

  3. Easy firewall mod, just loose some interior space. no big deal. I used a half a garden wheelbarrow for the round corners versus a square box.

It can be done with a filter relocation kit, cutting the lower section on the firewall, vega steering box, and a set of tight tuck headers. Good luck.

Here's mine I pused the enging back into the fire wall to make room for the blower drive. it fits and runs great.

I squeezed a 289 into my 31 roadster by trimming only a couple of inches from the center part of the firewall.

I'm using a 289 in my '29.Sits about 3 inches behind the firewall.
Due to its length, the stock oil filter causes clearance issues on the left frame rail.Swap it for a Motorcraft EFL90 or equivalent as it's only 3 1/2 inches long.
