Installed a pair of 30 inch Smithy's mufflers and tailpipes past the bumper today on my '59 Edsel. Man what a difference. I highly recommend.
I drove the car for about an hour home on back roads and highway. The drone is gone.

The previous owner had installed Flowmaster two chamber mufflers with turndowns at the bumper. The exhaust and sound going into the pavement.

They have been on the car for a few years. It sounded nice but I decided to give the car a more retro sound. It no longer sounds like a 90s pickup.

I used Smithy's recommended inlet with exhaust flow going over the louvers, not into the louvers. Screenshot_20251213_120915_Gallery.jpg I'm loving the "Braaap!" from tapping the throttle. I'll try to post a link or video later. I have a few other things to sort while I have use of the car lift.
