I recently came into possession of a used Snap-On/Blue Point CG500 Stud Extractor/Re-setter. Unfortunately, the instruction sheet was not in the box. I know that there are recommended torque settings and general procedures for using this tool. Since replacing any part of it runs into non-trivial money, I'd prefer to NOT damage it out of ignorance. Does anybody have an instructions sheet for this tool that they'd be willing to shoot me a copy of? I'd sure appreciate it! Thanks.
You sure about that? What search parameters were you using? I sure didn't get that result. I googled it before posting here, including using the advanced search function. Most of the CG500 entries I got pertained to some Singer Sewing Machine part, not the Snap-On Stud Remover. I did find one PDF of the instruction sheet I'm looking for, but unfortunately, it was not legible. If you found a legible version, please post a link. Thanks.
OK: found it. In case anybody else wants it, here's a link: http://www.hydrameconline.com/.search?query=%BC&hits=10&offset=40&use_boss Click on "Blue Point" about halfway down the page. That will give you a PDF to download. When it opens, you have to blow it up to about 200% to make it legible. That's what I didn't realize the first time I found it.
