I've had this snap on YA 205 mig welder for several years and never really used it much but plan on a new project requiring some body and frame welding. Has anyone used this model much and any opinions on ease of use and quality of welds? The electronic controls are constantly changing and wondering if this welder is just out of date...I'm a determined hack with high expectations of quality end results so if I'm going to be fighting a tool I might as well not use it.

The only mig welder I've owned is a Snap-on YA204B I bought in 1981. I have never had a problem or a failure with it, other than a few replacement parts in the still original torch, and I used it every day for 25 years in my business. I too taught myself to weld with it (it was high tech then) and I still love it.
