    A buddy of mine got some old tools out of a 1920s-30s shop. One is Snap-On and is cast number S-9580 then stamped 7. Does anyone know what this thing is ?

    found and old chev u-joint puller with that part number.

    It helps hold the whole mess together while you get it bolted back together other wise it's a pain in the ***.
