To those of you that posted good luck with workmanship comp are right. I was on the phone for about an hour today trying to get this mess straightened out. A new gal is handling the claim now and I had to start all over. I guess they can't communicate with coworkers. I got a bill for $3800 for the ambulance ride from Grand Island to Omaha, she will contact the ambulance company and get this bill paid. What a nightmare!!

Oldsman, you are not alone. After my wife and myself were transported to the hospital in seperate ambulances after a serious auto accident. I was dou blebilled for the ambulance services and recieved a bill from everyone at the hospital except maybe janitor. Be careful when you start recieving bills. Its easy to get screwed.

I don't know what to say about hurricanes - every place seems to have a weather drawback.

If you are thinking about Florida you might check out the panhandle. the cost of living is supposedly cheaper than the peninsula.

It seems like this winter when we get snow we have freezing rain first. That was my downfall this time. I don't know how I did that as many times as I have walked in conditions like that!

Sorry about the fall I hope you recuperate quickly. As for me I no longer need ice to fall and bust my ass all I need to do is turn around or stand up. We retired a year and a half ago and moved 120 miles south of Denver to Pueblo Co. It is unbelievable How much milder the weather is and almost nonexistent snow. They have only shoveled the walks twice this winter season, the first time it would have melted in a couple hours. The second time was yesterday and its all but gone. WE like it very much.
