In case any of you southern boys were wondering why a Snowplane was needed........yes this is a picture of a railroad but the snow dosn't care. . Mom lived on a farm 5 miles from the nearest town and after a big snow dump all the young men in the town would get together and SHOVEL the road out to the various farms. Moms likes to add that the roads leading to farms containing young women like herself and her sister would be cleared first .

Neat stuff. We got winters like that up until the big one in 69. Now I think we are heading back that way. I gotta start planning!
