    Cool choice Dante.

I spent my first 25 years in Pedro and many late nights at palms. I hear they have fixed the place up a lot lately. It is not that big so I recommend getting there early and the early comers leaving spaces between our cars for the late comers. And for any one thinking of swimming it's not a sandy beach, it's rock, tide pools, and reefs. It is a cool old place, that entire cliff area still has bunkers built for WWII.
I'll bring the marinated tri tips again and some charcoal,,,,,and lighter fluid.

Hey, I know that fat ******* in the green hat... in fact I am using his computer! I think I'll be able to make it again this time around. Want me to bring Carne Asada again? If so, PM me and let me know how many peeps you're expecting so I can slaughter accordingly.

If not, maybe we need a "keep it on page one" committee? :D

    Also, lowsprings,
    I kinda wished I'd said;

Okay, Dante (LowSprings) sent me a pm. Looks like I'll be bringin' some Pollo Asado (Mexi-Chicken) since they already have all the red meat that they can eat. This sounds like it's gunna be a good time. Hope I can have at least one of my beasts running and ready to bring out and show off to my fellow SoCal HAMBers...

  9. Since I have never been to this "gathering" I got a couple of questions.

    1. Is this family frinedly? I got two little ones (2yr old and a 2 month old)

    2. Who else is bringing their wife? Mine is supportive of the "car thing" but she gets bored after a couple of hours of cars.

    Thanks

unless your kids are sensative to cussing and beer drinking, ya its family friendly. although, theres going to be some new comers to the shindig who arent from the HAMB, i cant speak for them.

this place is also in a cool area, so maybe your old lady can take the kids out to the water while you sit and talk business.

THIS WAS PLANNED AS BEING FAMILY FRIENDLY. so please feel free to bring your families. there is a playground up top and a nice area for the kids to go search for sea critters.

Fonzi and I have in the past brought our families. there was others at the second BBQ that brought their kids too.

the same goes for others. this is not going to be like VLV where people are doing burn outs and throwing beer bottles around.

check out their website for stuff that they provide....

Unfortunately, my car won't be out here yet, but I'll be there.

Seeing as most of the things I cook don't travel well, I'll bring some deserts. Any requests? No, my cookies aren't as good as Denise's either.... she's the cookie queen.

Last year my roommates used to call me Betty Crocker cuz I was always responsible for making them for the holiday parties. :D

Sweet, the last one was great, once we all found each other! My car still ain't done so I'll probably be rollin' with happyhoppy...again. That is if we get his car back on the road! I don't know what to bring yet, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Brandon, can't wait to see your car! I know I gave you **** last time about driving your mom's focus, but hey, now you can give me **** for not having mine done!

OK, put me down for some "Ensalada Verde del Sudoeste con Pollo"

(Or, for you terminally white guys, that's some Southwest style Green Salad with Chicken, and I'll take it easy on the Chipotle chili sauce... Or not...!)

Remember, you guys who've been to a lot of pot lucks and for those who haven't, If each person brings enough to feed an army, almost enough food to feed an army will be going back home.

If everyone brings food, YOU only need to bring enough to feed, maybe twice as many people as you bring with you, if that was the only thing the people you bring were going to eat. Example, One 8" x 11.5" c***erole tray is more than enough.
Not counting the BBQ meat of course...And the Brownies... Brownies always dissappear... :D

And if you know you're going to show up late, bring the desert, not an appetizer or first course!

    Who's got Bongos?
We can't have a "Beach Blanket Bingo" party without Bongos!

i'm not sure i'll go over it again. it seems like its going to be a big turn out, but people cancel at the last minute. someone might have to fill in for a dish.

    i'll keep everyone updated.
