hey, fellas. i stumbled across this open garage of an antique dealer in ohio. i got permission to look it up and down.. i don't seek-out meets, yet, so it's rare i get to see very many completed cars.. lurking on TJJ is just not comparable to touching and feeling a completed build.. & this is one of my favorite colors. the owner has had it for about 1 year and hopes to show it on occasions. i have the impression that it's just stored and occasionally driven. these pics were taken on my broken phone (no flash). it was a tight space.. i barely had room to walk around it..
That was built by Scribe here on the HAMB when he worked for Rod and Custom Magazine. I have not seen him post in a while http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=816 The buildup was covered extensively in the mag. Dont think Socal had a lot to do with it. It is a kit and has the early Moon/whomever invented the fake Strombergs with injectors in them.
i see. i have the impression that the owner may not know much more than who [he thought] built it. all he said about the knob labeled rich/lean was one way or the other determined rich vs lean.. or maybe he just doesn't small-talk too much.
