  4. It's just a few bits of metal, easy enough to replace. I'm glad everyone's okay.

  16. so whats the scoop? i think the buddy needs to be rebuilding that bad boy for you from his pocket book. Or he better have bad*** insurance. I pay extra for the coverage ihave, but mine covers anything I drive, and the vehicle I total if the accident were my fault.

    will

It always chaps my *** to find out about a friend like that. It makes me feel like a dufus. Have a bud for quite a while, then something happens and they turn out to be a ****, but you hadn't noticed. You think to yourself, "And I hang out with this guy??"

    ****s about the truck bud.
I agree with that other post, make another one, SON OF FRANKENTRUCK.

I was the one driving the truck the day of the accident. The initial cause of the accident was a mechanical failure, and was not caused by negligence on the part of myself or the other driver. It appears that a ball joint failed, and threw me into oncoming traffic. I am thankful that the man and two children who were driving in the other vehicle were not injured. I am a little banged up but will make it through. It was an unfortunate thing that happened, and I know that the truck was special to Jim. I hate that I was driving when it happened. I hated even more having to call him to let him know about it. I will be helping Jim yank the motor out, and get his new project on the road and how he wants it. My insurance has told me that they do in fact offer secondary coverage on a vehicle I am driving so It looks like Jim might come out alright on the deal. I know it does not get him his truck back, but at least its something. Driving someone's vehicle always opens you up to some risk. This time it caught up with me. I feel horrible about it and wish it had happened differently.

The accident damaged the truck so bad that it curved the dash and we were unable to get the glove box open to get to the insurance verification. I was issued a no insurance ticket at the scene. Just trying to keep from getting my license suspended at this point. Jim has picked up another project, and I will be helping out with it. I think it will end up being a far more solid project in the end. I'll let him unveil it thought

If Jim is OK with it I will post up some pics from the accident scene.

Poor Jim - you made him so sad he's not feeling like using any periods today... LOL!

Just kiddin', Jim. Man, that ****s, dude. Hopefully the insurance company payoff will cover at least some of it...
