Hello all! My name is Darren Thayer (Rustvelle SS), I just signed up at the recommendation of Dave from Drop'em and Stop'em. Great guy to deal with and full of good info for me, just ordered me a set of drop spindles and brake kit for my 56 Ranchwagon. I'll be poking around here quite a bit as I get moving on this restoration. These cars are new to me as my previous projects have mainly been a little newer and of the muscle car era. I saw this Ranchwagon for sale and just couldn't p*** it up, had to have it! Wish me luck, I'm gonna need from you all!
Welcome You'll love this thread. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/show-us-your-wagons.254118/
...a '56 Ranch TUDOR! I have had 5 '56es, one convert; two Customline 2 dr hardtops; and one Crown Vic with a '52 Cad mill and hydro! Love those '56es, but I now have a '54 Ford Coupe. Hail Henry!
Hope Dave told you to get in here too,it may be your new home http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/social-forums/1952-59-ford-social-group.282/
Welcome from the hills of Arkansas. I saw one of these listed on our Craigslist last night, was complete less engine and trans. Good builder
Welcome. It's nice that someone actually understood what "Introduce yourself" meant. Your going to fit in just fine!
Welcome to the HAMB ..... I'm a big fan of station wagons big time....wish I had the room to build one myself; however, the wife has put a stop to my ac***ulations.....have fun man!
Wow Thanks for the big welcome! This thing came with a 352 FE and auto trans but I'm leaning toward a 302 and AOD out of a '60 Tbird. That 352 takes up a lot of room and I want to add pwr brakes, A/C, etc. I don't know the background on the 352 but I did have it running for a short time and it sounds fine.
