SO how do these look? Two different styles and yet the same cars?? I don't know if I like em' or am going to have to get rid of em' we'll see. I actually know I like em' I just think that they may have to go unless I get a second wind,....Whheeew....... FLIP
The axle is a 4" superbell with o posie spring, nuthin special. The top one is all ford, model A axle dropped 4+",flathead,39 x member, closed driveline, super traditional. The bottom one is a kiwi frame, slight channel, an 8" rear, and all "aftermarket" stuff. FLIP
I'd have to paint the front wheels of the magged-rear car a silver-grey to connect the wheels. Both cars have potential for good rides once the bodies are finished up and painted. Build 'em both and enjoy them.
The top one's body seems to sit nicer on the frame. I like the chop on the bottom one better. You're a lucky guy. Flatman
It's funny,....I like the chop on the top car better and the way the body sits in the bottom one better?.....Taste & opinions are like Assholes right? They are both different approaches that are neat in there own ways, kina funny though. FLIP
I like the bottom car more the way the rear tire matches up with the fender well. It doesn't look right to me on the top car. The chop looks more driveable on the bottom pic. Just my 2 cents. Both set ups would be great to have.
Thanx guys. I swear that the top wheel tire to wheel opening relationship looks better in person. The bottom one does look good with the slick. FLIP
I'm jealous either way.but being I'm more of a 60's era guy, the supercharged and piecrusted one seems to light more a fire..esp with those mags mounted
Bottom one for me. The stance, those rear wheels, and the blower give that thing an attitude. If yer not happy with them you can send the bottom one over here to PA....
Personally I like the top one. It looks lower and meaner/leaner with the stance and sedan door. I think I'd chop the shell a little to make the hood flow with the rest of body, but I'd have to see it in person. I would really like to see someone make a 32 frame with 5" side rails instead of the usual 6", I think it would look better proportionally..............my opinion.
I'd like a combination of both --- Bottom one with a chop like the top one and with the body sitting flat on the frame, like the top one. A 'mini-channel' might look good, too - with the top of the bottom body line lining up with the top of the frame. I agree. Pinkee's does make 4.5" tall (sectioned) rails. They are approx. double the cost of regular '32 rails, at $1,500. SEE HERE Malcolm
i like the bottom one...... but what do i know, cause i also like the 510 in the background. any pics of that one, what are you running it?
I like the bottom set of pic's better....If you need to get rid of one send it to me and I'll store it for you....At no cost..........
The 510 in the back has nuthin' special in it YET!?!?! we'll see. This is my first 510 in 15 years and before that I had 10-20 different 510's......I like em' what can I say. FLIP
