as of right now at age of 31 i have had over 120 cars. half have been bought to make money on when i worked in a body shop and the rest have been to have fun with. many have been classics or high end cars.

I remember reading about a 50 year old guy who had owned 100 cars and he was BRAGGING about it. That means on average he never kept one more than six months. (actually less since he didnt start at age one) I dont see anything there to be proud of. Seems kinda dumb to buy and sell cars that rapidly. Why would anyone want to spend their time and money churning cars? I have a friend that does that. He registers each car. Think of the cost! If you are selling cars for a profit, go far it, but is being a used car salesman something to bragg about? Keeping a car a long time has more appeal to me. Like Vic Edelbrock---still got his Model T hotrod. Had it more than 50 years! Wow! Thats something to be proud of.
only the american cars (without my daily driver ricegermanitalianbombers) 77 camaro 468ci 78 monte 78 van 39 plymouth 64 thunderbird 77 lemans safari 50 poncho 69 chevelle 27 t 66 dart 57 two ten 67 impala 65 impala 29 roadster 60 el camino 34 hawaiian c-dan 58 biscayne nit too bad for europe
Lemme think... -'88 Mustang -'57 Chevy Bel Air -'88 Acura Legend -'54 Plymouth Plaza wagon -'57 Ford Custom 300 -'55 Olds 88 -'71 Chevy c/10 -'95 Honda Civic I guess that's 8, not too bad for being 20 years old. I still have 4 of em.
MOC, actually I look at it another way , I find em, bring em back and they go out to people who hopefully will take them the rest of the way and keep them , I get to drive many different neat cars while i try to sell them and make money doing it to move on to the next car, hopefully better. I started w a Model a cowl and frame and 2 date I got to that many cars I mentioned above, also I LOT of those cars I owned and drove (and raced)as FAMILY cars B4 they were worth anything else as collector cars, most b4 a lot of people here were even born, ALL self payed for, MOST were crusher bound or slowly sinking into the ground behind some garage or shed, the ones that don't sell or are too far gone, get sold off as parts to you guys who need those parts, its simple , Ya, I would love to keep each and everyone ,but after watching a pride n joy burn to the ground I WAS ALL DONE LOVING ANY SINGLE CAR, Now I want em all b4 i'm done-and just may get there , In the maintime, guys/gals who maybe will never get a shot at a car they want, may Get it in most cases far less $$$ than a collector car dealers asks for the same car and a HELL of a lot less than that goofy old cars price guide lists em at..

Way lost track many years ago at around 200 running vehicles. It's hard to draw the line as parts cars shouldn't count.

LOL. i just figured this out a couple weeks ago too. i think it was somewhere near 40. i'm not near as old as some of you guys so that number by itself might not be all that impressive. i got my first car at 13 and i'm 30 now so thats nearly 40 cars in 17 years. thats more than 2 per year and i never got my second car till i was 16 so it's realy even more.
