Won't mention the Japanese cars and motorcyles.
I've made a few attempts to tally them up, but some were only in my hands for a short time and it really becomes a blur, especially if I count parts cars. Most of those were around to have whatever picked off them and they were gone. I'll go with 60+ cars and up to 110 including parts cars. Bob
hmm... i'm 41. first car when i was 14. a ton of different cars, most not HAMB friendly. not counting project cars that were never on the road, or current projects... just running/registered drivers: 49 cars. 3 currently. i've also had roughly 70 motorcycles, not counting mini-bikes or kid's dirtbikes. 4 currently.

I guess I'm the anomoly here on the Hamb. In the 50+ years of being able to drive, I've owned only 15 cars. Remember, folks under 40 years old, we used to drive our cars as "daily drivers" not collector cars. I always had a "spare" car to fiddle with. Example: My daily driver in 1966 was an 1958 Imapla, 348, dual quads. I tend to modify my rides over the years and normally keep them 15 years or more. I never had the room to keep a lot of cars or the money to spend on them. I did have some nice ones, 1940 Ford Coupe, 1966 Mustang, 1962 Austin Healy 3000, 1958 Impala, 1962 Olds Jetfire, 1970 Olds Rallye 350, 1969 Chevelle SS396, 1940 Buick Special, 1940 Chevy Coupe, 1970 Myers Manx Dune Buggy.
I'm 69 years old- have had many daily drivers and work vehicles- others owned- 1953 Ford- 1962 Falcon- 1959 Corvette- 1966 Corvette- 1946 Ford- 1939 Ford- 1960 Pontiac- 1959 Simca (French)- 1966 Mustang- wife has owned more cars than me-
I can't remember I was born very young. I'd fry what too few brain cells that remain at my age trying to count but I'm sure it would be somewhere south or 100. I have a hard enough time trying to remember how to tie my shoes. Way too many.
If you know how many cars you have owned you are either young or not really into cars that much... I have no idea really.
These are anything I consider cool and older than me. 48 ford F1 50 Ford F1 49 Ford F3 30 5 window 56 Pontiac vert 32 Ford truck 64 Falcon 72 LeMans 65 Falcon 64 Comet 63 Comet 63 Fairlane 70 Travelall 61 IH B100 63 F100 65 IH b200 62 FJ40 68FJ40 73FJ40 74FJ55 28 sport coupe 29 roadster That is 22 My wife has a list since we got married in 97 that has all daily drivers and newer sports cars listed also and that list is at 64 So I am approaching 100 and I am not 40 yet
Thanks for the compliment of being young. The only reason I know is that I decided to start keeping track about 20 years ago and have a running spreadsheet...
Keeping track of what you owned is ok but don't keep track of what you have spent on them.. you might go into shock and depression..
62 Impala 89 Firebird 67 RS/SS 350 Camaro convertible 92 S10 30 Tudor 27 Model T 06 Silverado 10 Challenger 70 Chevelle SS396 41 Ford 1/2 ton 03 S10 ZR2 87 F350 Cargo van 85 Honda 650 Nighthawk Not to mention all the parts in the stash that could make a couple more cars.
When I was young my dad would buy and sell cars just for something to do. I do remember one year back in the early 60's where he bought and sold 32 cars. One day he came home with a 47 Buick and gave it to me. I was fourteen and my sister was 16. Boy was she pissed. that's were I started and have had so many cars that I think I need to make a list too. I flipped the Buick for a 29 Ford 2 door sedan and traded that for a 32 Ford 3 window which is car car I never should have sold but did.
I'll give it a shot but I'm pretty sure I'll miss some-- 64 malibu 64 malibu wagon three 65 impalas 72 el camino two 65 el caminos 56 chevy shortbox 427/4spd 65 nova SS 68 suburban 41 ford truck 47 ford truck 48 ford pickup 53 coe chevy 56 ford coe 39 ford pickup two 36 ford pickups 41 buick super convertible 65 galaxie 500 51 gmc one ton 53 chevy half ton 57 belair hardtop 56 porsche 57 porsche 60 porsche riviera 67 camaro 427/4spd 72 blazer and 20 or so boring newer/family rigs.
I'm 59, around the age of 35 I thought it would be interesting to write them all down, and keep up on the list. That is why I know I've had 87, and I'm sure there will be many more.
some days I think I owned way too many and then other days I wish I owned a few more. I used to have a list but lost it when I was a little over 400. the most I owned at one time was 121 but that was in my hay day and counting the parts cars, project cars, daily off topic drivers, my work trucks, besides my good show cars. but most are gone now since I keep selling them off to survive this ****py economy that took me down. My car days might be history shortly if my wife gets her way. Not sure what I want anymore. I might be gone for a while or for good. Time will tell.
theres a guy here who likes to brag that he has owned more than 100 cars. On average that means that he keeps them about 3 months. Thats not really long enough to even qualify as a real Owner. More like a used car salesman. He is a Temporary Owner. I think he likes money more than old cars. It seems that length of time in ownership would be more of an indicator of your love for old cars.
