Here's an old post. But I'm new, so it's new to me.

I have owned hundreds of cars. Never been a dealer. I owned 70-80 before I graduated from High School. I think I have 16 or so now. Not all are fun cars, though. (How do you spell Saturn? BORING!!) The oldest car I have owned was a 1911 Model T Ford open runabout. I have owned one new truck. A fair number were rods, only one custom, some sports cars, a few muscle cars, some stockers.

Hell you're assuming he sold one every time he bought another!!! I'm 52 & I've had I *know* over 100 cars - NINE right now (7 running) if you count the "projects" & *not* the parts cars. I've always had at least 4 or 5 cars at any given time...(since I was about 18...) Not to mention Annie (the yellow baja bug) that I've had for almost 35 years!
I've often thought to make a list & add to it whenever I remember another one. :)

Styarting with a 49 Ford flathead V-8 Coupe at the age of 15, I've accumulated 45 vehicles since. My current ride is a Ford 26 T 50's style Roadster with a tri-powered SBC.

I've owned (some very briefly) 45 vehicles since age 15. That includes two British bikes: 69 650 BSA, and a 60 Triumph 650 Bonneville; seven 60's Impalas, two 55 and 56 Chevys, two 57 Chevys; several off-the-wall beaters, (Opel Kadett, Dodge Dart, Plymouth Valiant), a few "long roofs" including a nice Nomad (56); one Ford 1/2 ton truck, 3 Chevy 1/2 ton trucks, five S-10's (one current customized 92 Blazer) two 70's Chevy Monte Carlos, two 70's big Impalas, an extremely nice 60 Impala convertible (just before being drafted in the Army) and to sum it all up, some were slow, some were fast, some were half-fast, but my present 26 T Roadster is my all-time favorite;...I LOVE cruisin' in that thing! The only days I DON'T drive it is when it either rains or snows! I certainly wish I knew then what I know NOW! I woulda' kept a lot more of them instead of either selling or trading them off!

Not enough hot rods. Is this list for cars we have actually owned or for cars we would LIKE to own/build?

  16. I've only had 2 hot rods. A 63 Imapala and a 58 Bonneville. Also a 78 Jeep CJ-7 straight-six with split headers. Oh, and my 76 'vette, that's Chevette. And a Chrysler LeBaron with a turbo.

Bragging about the number of cars you have owned? Thats simply bragging about being a used car salesman. If you didnt own it long enough to fix it up and enjoy using it, you didnt really own it, just like a used car lot doesnt own them.

  23. Let's see. I've been messing with cars since I was 12, that's just about 20 years now. I'll levae out some of the parts cars and stuff we had for like a day or so.

    '62 Beetle
    '38 Buick Special coupe
    '60 Pontiac x
    '59 Pontiac *x
    '72 Pontiac #1 x
    '73 Pontiac
    '72 Pontiac #2 x
    '57 Pontiac x
    '54 Chevy convert *
    '59 Plymouth convert *
    '58 Imperial 4dr *x
    '60 Chrysler (3) *x
    '40 Buick x
'50 Ford woodie (for sale, someone buy this POS please) x
    '57 Plymouth *
    '58 Chrysler *
'58 DeSoto convert (half with a buddy)
    '72 Pontiac #3 x
    '56 Pontiac Safari *
    '55 Pontiac Safari *
    '58 Rambler 4dr x
    '51 Chevy coupe
    '50 Chevy Fleetline x
'65 Chevy Impala SS (had all of 10 days)

    Plus
    '87 Pontiac wagon
    '86 Buick wagon *
    '84 Buick Skylark x
    '77 Buick LeSabre
    '79 Buick Electra
    '89 S10 x
    '89 Suburban x
    '89 Ramcharger

More to come, I'm sure. The * = cars that were rough or for parts, although some of them ran and drove; the x is for ones I still have. Only registered 10 of them so far. I'm sure I forgot a few, but I'm still not as bad as I thought at 35 - if I buy 5 more this year (very likely) I'll average 2 a year.

edit: Forgot the Rambler. Guess that's easy to do -
