Hot Rods So, I went to repaint my valve cover and...

    Our annual cruise night is coming up. So, I wanted to spruce up the engine bay in my bird. The valve cover on my straight 6 was lookin pretty grundgy. So, I removed it in order to sand it down and repaint it.

    But, when I did...I discovered that the lifter for my #5 intake valve had collapsed, the pushrods was bent, and the adjustable rocker arm was cracked in half....

    The car was running like a top. I don't know how long it had been this way. I guess it's a testiment to the ruggedness of a straight 6.

    But, I still gotta pull the head, and order some parts... Shoulda just left the damn thing alone. Haha!
