Hot Rods So, if you WERE going to run red wheels with white walls, what color would you paint the car?

I would go with the same red as the wheels, black, or Washington blue.

No whites, but I like the looks of red wheels on a blue car.

Yes I was lazy and let my phone do the writing punctuation was bad but if that offends you I'm glad my point was they had to read Rams back then it was the fad so all the purest now who are upset about alternators and small block Chevy's should not be upset about red

Thinking back - many cars had red wheels but were covered up by full hub caps. You could see the red line between the hub cap and the white wall of the tire. I always thought this looked pretty cool.

I always liked a grey or medium brown with red wheels, particularly if they are shod with blackwall tires and trim rings. But there are a lot of really sharp cars that have been done with different colors and variations on the theme, too...hard to settle on just one!

flynstone, don't worry about it. I could probably go and visit the person in less time than it takes me to text back an answer.

Dark pearl blue with red wires worked for me..............
And they do work on black too................

I do think you need to run hub caps and trim rings to tone down the red a little through........

Early Ford Washington Blue is a great color for red wheels and red upholstery.

  25. I actually don't think that looks bad. I might do a little pinstriping with a small amount of yellow to tie it all together and let it ride. Neat car!

  26. A few more blue rods with red wheels and white walls I found on my IPad.
