Welcome from nearby Maryland. Enjoy your HAMB time. There's a lot of very knowledgable folks on board (myself not necessarily included) who will advise you along the way. Keep your ears open. You will learn a lot. Good luck.
Welcome. This start is a lot better than the last one. What you seek can be found here. Try using the Search feature to see of any of the old threads give you the kind of info you seek. If not post a question on the board. Over 50,000 members here, some one should be able to help.
Hey Ben I see you've taken some punches to the gut from some of these guys. You did your intro now read some posts and try to get along this can be a tough crowd. Dont take everything to heart and treat these guys like you would ou with guys in the garage. Ben has an old Chevy pickup his dad has had for years and they are about to restore it. He's not sure if they are staying with the six cylinder and splitting the exhaust and running a dual carb intake or going smallblock. It's good to see a dad build something with his son and Ben is just looking for advise for the best options. Bens young and just getting into this so try to help him out a little. Ben the shop will open soon and we could use some help atleast a couple days a week and dont be afraid to drive that pickup down to work on it here. Be good and stay out of trouble or we'll paint your truck pink!
tough way for a welcome to the H.A.M.B. man i nearly pissed my pants laughing good to see you made your way thru it and came back for more , welcome dude!
Hanover?? Who would have guessed? A fellow Pennsyltuckian. Glad to hear that you are in to a father/son build they can be the best kind. My opinion doesn't really count since it is your build, but I think I would stay with the 6 cyl, unless if you have a need for V8 power. Especially in light of where the gas prices are heading. Running a 2 carb setup would be sweet. BTW, I guess we're kind of like neighbors, since I am over in York County, about 25 miles southeast of Hanover. One of by best friends from the Hanover area just lost his oldest son last week in a drowning accident.
