Going backwards to go forwards. Was ready to glaze some small imperfections tonight and couldnt live with a couple low spots on the rear 1/4s. Nothing major, the light blue paint prob wouldnt even show them much. Then I thought back to my first car, the one I learned to do bodywork on under my Mentor Dan Spain, 20 years ago. I had a little spot on one fender that bugged me after the car was painted. That one spot STILL eats at me 20 years later. So I did it, little skim of filler, waited, knocked it down..................wow! These modern materials rock if only for the fact that you can work them in minutes. I had about 45 minutes in the small area and it will give me piece of mind for 20 YEARS! I am getting closer, just****** work now. The wetsanding will be a joy........now if I could make my doors work. DOH!
all that trouble -to put a Tractor Supply paint job over it? Ya know TdUDE if you use the good stuff it will never PEEETEEENA like it should
Silly Kenny, you know I am using Top-o-the-line $60 PPG Industrial Singlestage! And the only Patina I want is 15 years of my arm rubbing the paint off the door.
im the same way man. if everything isnt perfect now, its going to bug the hell out of me for years. there are a few things on my car that HAVE to change before i get any more done. whats wrong with your doors? trey
