    It was a deathtrap when he first walked in the door. It took 6 mild blows with a ball peen hamber to knock the mounting plates off the left side of the rear end.

    This is a bit off topic for this thread but I just wanted to show these pics since it's another idea for a era correct dirt track racer. There has been a lot of talk about upside down frames ans stuff. That's obviously nothing new. These are from Don Radbruch's book Dirt Track Auto Racing 1919-1941. Sorry about the quality, I have no scanner.
