Root...a guy from OK.C. complaining because it was a little hot? Sheeeeeeeit! And it wasn't 110....it was only 105. I vote for the same weekend so I can lump Bonneville and Mokan into the same vacation and DAMN the heat.
'sides, the locals told me that hot of weather was really freaky, even for mid summer...and we shoud have right in the middle of John's [WZ Junk] 3 month vacation...

 

Rocky, they prolly meant is was supposed to be 115 and it was freaky that is was so cold. I can stand the heat but why?

I realize Bonneville is a factor but is MOKAN really on the way to anywhere?

 

I was curious and so I looked at some rainfall data for the last 4 years of the MOKAN area of SW MO. June had an average for the four years of 5.3, July 3.02, and Aug 4.46 inches of rain. So it would seem that it rains the least in July. Of course it could rain more on the average in a certain month but do it all in one day and then not rain the rest of the month but I doubt that.

I looked at the temperatures and humidity data some but basically it said hotter than hell and real humid all summer. Most of our summer weather forcast say hot and humid with a chance of evening showers.

 

Hmmm....so what are you thinking? November?

the hottest summer i ever spent was a weekend in '90 or '91 when nsra had the nationals in okc.

 

I say the weekend after Bonneville. It was hot as heck but that is the mid-west. And with the dragstrip looking at schedule's I would think that August would be a slow month for racing so it would be easier to rent out the track for a Saturday.
