It's a bad hand you have been dealt, however as you can see you have many friends here pulling and praying for you. Hopefully yours can be treated or operated on, at this stage you need to concentrate on wining and do your best to overcome the odds. As have been said previously the chances of beating it are very good, the Lord helps those that help themselves. I am 1 year, 6 months and 6 days from when I left the hospital, each day is a blessing.

I spent most of yesterday working on two broken bolts on the exhaust. Had to take the intake manifold off to get the broken off bolts out of the flange area. And two more broken bolts in the block. Waiting for gaskets from my local parts man..Should be here about 1:00 PM today. Then I can assemble some type of exhaust. Anything can be better then the JB Weld and cherrie bomb that was on it...LOL..Thanks for all of the sincere support from some of the Greatest Guys in the world...Love To All

My mom lived 38 years after they told her she had a couple of good years left. I'm waiting the results of a possible cancer condition and I'm determined to beat her record. At 66 that will put me at 104.............yea, that would be a good age to check out. BTW, prayer DOES help and I'll be sending some on your behalf.

    Keep your chin up.

Just laid a friend to rest this week who beat cancer and then had a sudden heart attack (from what I understand). It can happen to any of us at any time.

    Prayers from Indiana.

yeah it sucks. so does the government. Ihope in this case they are both temporary.aslong as you have plans and projects.this will help you keep a postive mental attitude. i asked a friend recently who is a c word survivor and is now back to work as a patrol deputy what helped him the most. he said man i had too much to do to let a pissant thing like that stop me. keep going and doing man get treatment but dont dwell on the problem. keep moving ahead. were praying so when it gets a little rough you can do some braying. pm me when you need to just talk it out some times we all need to talk to someone faceless. horace

i don't have any of the good advice like what other folks have already offered. what i do have is an ongoing conversation with our Maker and i'll keep after Him to do whatever is best for you in your situation.

from another of the (otherwise) anonymous folks who will keep you in our prayers.

I had my thyroid removed 2 years ago. The cancer had also spread into my throat, too close to my nerve stystem to cut it all out. I had radiation treatment to get the rest of it, and my 2 year checkup 6 weeks ago was ALL CLEAR!

Good luck man, keep yer chin up, you can beat this!

    Cheers, Glen.

  27. A week from tomorrow(Saturday)it will be ten years since I went under the knife for what was to be a two hour operation to remove a cancerous tumor in my throat.Eight hours (and 42 staples in my neck)later they wheeled me into the recovery room. The cancer;once exposed to the air via biopsy had spread so rapidly that the doctor informed me(several years later)that if we had waited another week it could not have been controlled.Part of my tongue;neck muscles;and jugular vein along with all the lymph nodes in my neck had to be removed.
A long hospital stay(due to other complications)and 3 months of 5 day a week radiation therapy and once a week chemotherapy and the loss of 65 lbs.from not being able to eat anything but yoghurt and soup(I HATE YOGHURT!)and many sessions of conversing with the,"porcelain goddess".
BUT...........The upside is I am here to talk about it.I had a lot of good people praying for me and support from a very good friend who had gone through it a couple years prior got me through it.
    And so will you.
When I run into people they often ask how I am doing.I smile and say,"Hey;I woke up this morning and looked down at my chest and it was still moving up and down and I knew it was going to be another great day!" They usually laugh but some know me well enough to know that I am not making a joke;I am entirely serious. And I will think this way until I no longer draw a breath.
Someone once said that,"TODAY is the TOMORROW you worried about YESTERDAY". The best advise I ever heard was to live for today;be glad yesterday is over;and don't think about tomorrow.
I have a saying painted on my car(I have a lot of those but this one is particularly relevant);a poem called,"LIFE" by the late Michael O'Donoghue who was one of the founders of Saturday Night Live among other things.
The verse is really short and simple and says it all:

LIFE:" One thing led...to another and before we knew it,we were dead!" Very profound.

Know that you have a lot of folks out here pulling for you.

News at the Doc was not good..Said I had a lot of pollups in my prostate..He took 12 specimens...He told me one looked to close to the surface and that if it leaked into my system..There is no cure...Other than that the sun is out it's almost beer thirty and Life must go On...LoVe You Guys...Just wondering if this is the part where Shit Happens and then You Die...
