Okay, I'm almost embarrased to ask, but anyone got a copy of corvette summer they can tape? It's out of print. It's not for me, of course, it's for a freind, yeah, that's it, a freind... [IMG]

Just drive it as your everyday driver. It's a car WITHOUT a car payment. Enjoy it for as long as it lasts. Congrats!

Put 16 or 18 inch wire wheels painted red on it ,Some dirt track tires, flat black it and everyone will tell you how Traditional it is.

Someone just gave me a '90 or '91 Crown Victoria, fuel infection and power everything. When I threw a battery on it, the auto-leveling system kicked on and leveled the car out. Didn't know they did that.

I was thinking how cool it would be to drop an old Ford or Merc body onto it, weld the floorpan up, and cruise it with ALL the modern conviences in an old wrapper.....

    Wanna trade? [IMG]

El Scotto, That's basically what I am doing to my '51 Merc.
But the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis of your vintage has a 4" shorter chassis than the '51 Merc (118") so you'd either need to lengthen your frame and driveshaft, or use a car body with a 114" wheelbase. That shouldn't be too hard to find...
Go here, it's 49-51 Merc specific, but at least you get an idea of what I have been going thru. It's a lot of work and figgurin', but some day I think it will be worth it...and I like challenges, anyways...

Then tell me what you wanna do...

Needs some interior work and the paint is faded in a few spots, but it runs fine.. He's moving today and drove it over, tossed me the keys and some paperwork and said its yours...but WTF do you do with a vette?? [IMG]
